Could next week be the best week for Mac gamers since Myth II?

My prediction: hell yes.

Not only do Mac gamers have the official announcement that the Starcraft II beta will be warping in on OS X on Monday or Tuesday, but Valve has announced they’re releasing the brand-new Steam UI on Monday. This is a good reason for Apple-based gamers to be excited as Valve slated the Mac Steam UI for an April release.

You do the math: new Steam UI + April = good chance of the OS X interface being released.

Korsakovia Delayed AGAIN

The Chinese Room’s HL2 mod, Korsakovia, has been delayed again. First it was supposed to be out July, then August, then September 12th. Now all the thoughtful trippers will have to wait until (purportedly) September 20th. Damn. Oh well. If Dear Esther was anything to go by, it’ll be worth the wait.

Not that Freakonomics are typically conservative, but they aren’t exactly the chardonnay left. Which is why I was surprised they directed me to this article in the usually-conservative Economist about games in education. The Eco considers the role video games will play in education over the coming years. Def worth a read.

To all our regular readers, we’re sincerely sorry that it’s taken us so long to get back online. As you can understand, when designing websites, there are a multitude of issues that can arise. Plus, the editors of Touché, bitches! are located in all corners of the globe. Well, actually, just the US and Australia. But that means different timezones, different quantities of distracting bad television and varying levels of access to The Wire. But it’s all done now and all you have to do is enjoy!
